So usually I share recipes from cookbook, but this time I won’t because I do not know the complete laws on copyrighting from a cookbook. I do know in history you can use whatever, and you just have to credit the author, but with cooking, I am not completely sure on the laws. Therefore, I want to discuss the actual book more than the recipe.
I was actually shocked to like this book. I know Paltrow’s known mainly for her holistic healing business, Goop- a business that has been negatively critiqued by physicians and nutritionalist. So I was kind of surprise to find recipes that are not only tasty, but also pretty healthy. Most of her recipes are gluten-free, vegan and dairy- free, so she is very allergy friendly.
The recipe I recently cooked from her book was the Spicy Sweet Potato Soup with chipotle and Coriander.
The only issue that I had with this recipe was finding ancho chilis. I was in a small town while cooking this soup and some of the ingredients were hard to find at my local shop.
Other recipes I will be trying: white bean and Swiss chard soup, grilled salmon with grilled lemon vinaigrette, Broccoli Rabe with garlic and red chili, etc.
