Health| La Croix

Hey everyone.

Today I wanted to share a health opinion piece with you. If anyone knows me, they know that I am completely addicted to Diet Coke. It’s an obsession really, but an extremely unhealthy obsession.

I mean, Isn’t that just beautiful. No, but serious. It was a major problem for me because it can cause a plethora of problems in my future- weight gain, diabetes, higher risk of stroke, teeth decay, etc. That is just the beginning.

I’m not a hundred percent sure if this is true or not, but a coworker told me once her daughter had bone problems stemming from the addiction she had to Diet Coke. These stories just made me scared of what I was doing to my body. I just didn’t know how to stop! Even after hearing these stories, it made me want to stop, but I had a hard time doing so. I finally got a push in the right direction from the weirdest source though.

Want to know the source. I started drinking La Croix. That drink you don’t know if you are pronouncing it right, but taste delicious and has that carbonation. Yes, that drink. I actually began drinking because of the soda tax in Cook County. Every ounce of soda or sugary drink got taxed one more cent. I didn’t want to pay for that extra tax, so I switched. Even though it is a bit pricy, I’m so happy excited that I did.

If you have a Diet Coke problem, I highly recommend switching to La Croix. It is literally just carbonated water with essence, so you are doing no harm (as I know of) to your body. You are also drinking water… just saying.

Thanks for reading. If you have any questions or comments, please comment below.

  1. That has been a struggle of mine as well. I think we actually become addicted not to only the sugar but mostly to the carbonation, as my nephew would say the bubble drink.

  2. They actually make a coke flavored La Croix, it’s pretty good! My favorite is the watermelon kiwi one, but the off brands are pretty good too. Target’s citrus one is great and Aldi’s lemon is good. But my favorite sparkling water is the Ice Mountain mandarin in one liter bottles.
